Lets say i own the website example.com.if i let a nonprofit use the subdomain theiroranizationname.example.com, and let another group use mooch.example.com, would each website legally be independant of eachother or will they be looked at as the same group and same website?

No clear answer here. More likely than not, they will be deemed independent against each other. However, example.com will be on the hook in all cases.
