My fiance got a DWI with personal injury *no harm to the car at all* and he was offered 3 yrs probation with alcohol and substance abuse and fines. He just completed his PSI and his probation officer asked for the incident report to close the case... why? He already accepted the plea but will be sentenced on Nov 3rd.
Answer
Probation should be receiving the report directly form the police department. The report should include a detailed preview of the facts of the case as well as the defendant's version. It shold alos include the defendant's full history-criminal, educational, job, personal, medical and mental background, etc.
