Why is the Chicago bean so special?

Why is the Chicago bean so special?
The actual name for the 'bean' is Cloud Gate, created by Britishartist Anish Kapoor.
The sculpture is among the largest of its kind in the world, measuring 66 feet long by 33 feet high and weighing 110 tons.
The sculpture is forged of seamless polished stainless steel plateswhich reflect Chicago's skyline and clouds above.
A 12-foot-high arch provides a "gate" to the concave chamberbeneath the sculpture, inviting visitors to touch its mirror-likesurface and see their image reflected back from a variety ofperspectives.
