What is the best position of the carrier on the roof rack for optimal gas mileage?
for optimum economy the rack and the pod should be left inside the garage.
If you must use one position it as closely as possible so the back end of the carrier is as close to the rear of the car roof without going past the rear. The above is my personal opinion.
