I had a foolish moment and fell for one of those door-to-door magazine sales. I wrote them a check. Immediately afterward, I came to my senses and googled the company. Very shady business with F rating from BBB and countless complaints. So I cancelled the check because I can't figure out how to cancel the order.

Now I received a threatening letter from a company they say is a collection agency demanding payment + additional fee for returned check.

I'd like to add that I have not received any items associated with the order.

What can I do?

Ignore their threats. They aren't going to follow up on this. It's a bluff.
