Is it discrimination for a Company to terminate an employee for occasionally not meeting company standards even if all employees are not?

Question

Is it discrimination for a Company to terminate an employee for occasionally not meeting company standards even if all employees are not?

Answer

Without more information it's impossible to say. Depends what standards, depends whether you are in a particular class of employees (women, racial minority...), depends whether others in your class are being systematically treated differently than other classes, a lot of things. So if you've been terminated you can talk to an attorney, file a complaint with the EEOC, file for unemployment, etc. But everyone will need more information than you are providing here. Sorry.
