North Carolina child support question:
I filed for child support through Social Security office.
My ex-husband filed for child support through NC civil court in Mecklenburg county.
The date is set for May 27th 2014.
He is asking for Motion of Continuance based on my unemployment.
What should be my step here to make sure I get the child support that I am eligible for?

You need to consult an attorney. Without knowing yours and his employment history and the current custody position of the child(ren) it is impossible for us to say what will happen.
