Question

I was in a car accident and the responsible party's insurance is willing to pay 80% of the medical bills directly to me, not to my insurance whom I paid $100 as my deductible. Am I legally responsible for contacting my insurance and giving them that 80%. In other words, can they come after me legally for my settlment from the responsible parties insurance?

Answer

Yes you are and yes they can.
