My gardner got hurt using his stuff on my property. Am I liable???

As a private contractor, it is highly unlikely unless you somehow caused the accident. For example, if you had a loose brick that he tripped on or a something like that.

Unless he is employed by or owns a company with full Workers Comp insurance, yes you are. Hopefully you have Workers Comp insurance if he doesn't.
