if I lived with my partner for 10 yrs in FL. I have a 5 yr old and a 19 month old. Separation occurred 9/18. Do I get to claim one of the kids when tax time comes around ? for the last tax return we each claimed one. Thank you so much.

It depends it there is a court order in place. If no Order finding the partner a parent you, as the mother, may take both. Best to check with CPA or Tax Specialist to be certain.
