Question

Separated in NJ, the courts awarded joint custody of our 2 children. The wife is attempting to claim both children on taxes so she can collect on Earned Income Credit. I believe we should each claim a child. If she files and claims both, what can I do to counter this action? I pay for child care and I won't be able to claim it with a child, or am I incorrect?

Answer

You need to retain an Attorney. Please call my office
