Question

I am moving out of state with my daughter and my daughters father have given us permission to do so. He does not want to go to court but I know I must do this legally. My question is, how can I get the necessary legal forms and how do i file them with the court myself. I did some research, and I believe i will need a Stipulaton and consent order. We are in Virginia. Do I need to see a lawyer or can i do this myself? Thanks!

Answer

Better arrange for a consultation with a Virginia lawyer with some

experience with domestic relations matters in the Commonwealth and

who should be able to advise you as to what kind of paperwork may need

to be filed (or not) in your particular situation.
