When will the moon die?

When will the moon die?
The Moon is moving slowly away from the Earth at about 3.8 cm a year.At that rate, its orbital distance will take 10 million years to double. Eventually it would reach equilibrium, as is suspected of Pluto and Charon, with both bodies presenting the same face in rotation and co-revolution. Unless something unusual affected its stability, it would continue to exist as long as the Earth.
